It's been a summer!

With school and work it's been hard to keep this blog going.  I am still alive and I did make those cookies, except they didn't make it to the frosting process!  They where delicious on their own.  =)

I have also been helping with the planning of my sister's baby shower which is a lot of work but tons of fun! =) I cannot wait to have my Chole here so I can spoil her!

My 4th of July was spent working and just relaxing with the sister and family. I did wear my favorite denim summer dress to keep it cool!  Hope all is well with everyone this summer!

STAR WARS BREAKFAST & UPDATE!!

So, I know it's been a while but I have been super busy! I started summer school, meaning math at 7am and working nights Mon-Thurs and opening at the crack of dawn Fri-Sun, also meaning no sleep! However, I have been able to squeeze in some awesome cooking and comic con adventures from the last time I had posted.  Anyone who truly knows me knows how much I love Star Wars! I was lucky enough to have found a website that had Star Wars pancake molds and cookie cutters in shapes of Yoda, Darth Vader and a storm trooper(Cookie cutter's are the same but includes Boba Fett!)

I also decided to make sausage links and patties and boy was that delicious! In the picture I wanted to add Yoda ears to the Sausage kind like Disneyland puts Mickey Ears on their food items.  Kinda dorky but that's what was running through my head at the time.

Last, 2 weeks ago I went to my first Phoenix Comic con, which I have to say I was impressed! The organization and how it was all put together was awesome! Great experience, especially all the Star Wars stuff and comics of course! My friend Michael explained the anime stuff since their was a lot!

Well, expect the Star Wars sugar cookies sometimes this weekend or early next week and eventually a Star Wars theme party I am planning! May  the force be with you =)

Spring is over!

So it's been a busy month because I just now realize next week is the last full week of May! Gosh how time is passing by! May always seems to go by fast though, especially since people are graduating like my brother Jesse! I can't believe how fast that went by and now he's going on to do his own thing! Just thinking about how I use to take care of him and help with the diaper changes and now he's an adult like myself!  It's so crazy!!! I am so happy though, he did it and now the youngest of our family will graduate next year! So that means 4 down 1 to go! Ha My parents are probably super happy about that! Well, I just thought I'd update on this month and say Congratulations to every graduate out there especially my brother Jesse!!! I love you and I am so proud! =)  (older sister Maria on the left, younger sister Ari next to her, Jesse and me on the right!)

p.s: both of my sister's are expecting! =) I get to be a Tia!!! woot woot.

I have been busy these past weeks with school, work and baking! I made a TON of cookies plus this sweet Cherry pie for my mother on Mothers day, which I have to say was a good call! I was gonna be stubborn and make apple because that's my favorite but my mother is all about the cherries.  Good call on her behalf because I have to say it was quite delicious!  I think I am slowly becoming a fan of cherries, which I avoided majority of my baking years!

On to different news, I had to give my kitten up to the Humane society, it got really sick and I know that they know what they are doing and could provide it with better care. I did leave all my information because I really want to keep the cat when she is better, and if she get's better they said they would let me know =)  I really hope she pulls around because I got really attached these 3 weeks!

The End is near!

Next week is finally my last week of the semester! I have a paper due tomorrow that I only have an outline for but that's just how I work when it comes to these papers!  I have been super busy lately because I have become a mother once more to a tiny little Kitten who is now 2 and a half weeks old! It was abandon by its mother and I have been bottle feeding it for the past week, it was a bit hard at first but now it's easy, just now that his eyes have been open for a day, the left one is infected/1 Luckily I have eye drops for the little one, so hopefully that will work.  I have to set up an appointment for the little and my dog Teddy who is due for his yearly shots!

This week should be fast and I am looking forward to that! I am going to the Suns vs. Spurs game 1 tomorrow thanks to my awesome friend Fernie for buying tickets!! Cinco de Mayo will be spent in Tempe at the marquee watching silverstein and A Day To Remember with my sister and her husband. I also have an appointment at ASU that day during the day to really finalize everything!!! Last, Friday I am baking up a storm since I will be showing all my non-vegan friends the amazing taste of home made Chile and cornbread and of course tons of desert! Expect pictures!

Vegan Pigs in a blanket and update!

Today is the start of my second week of working out! Since I last blogged I have signed up to a gym near my house to just be in better shape, not necessarily lose weight because I don't need to!

Today I decided to channel my inner 5 year old self and make pigs in a blanket! Of course they're Vegan and delicious! I had 4 of them and the rest I left for the brothers! Of course I never feel bad about eating so much since I need to eat more calories since I will be burning them off later!

I am so excited that I only have 3 more weeks left of school! I have been waiting for that day since this semester started! Of course I will be doing both summer school sessions so it's not much of a break but its diffentaly another end of a semester! I hope everyone's week starts off amazing!

Holy Crap!

So I've been super busy to have posted my spring break trip to Disneyland or talk about how much fun I had!

I also went to see awesome shows like Alkaline trio and just recentally Silversun Pickups and Muse!!! Both shows were amazing! I also caught two Cubs spring training games which were fun but could have been funner(not a word) if they won, but of course that hardly ever happeneds and I'm okay with that. =) As long as Sosa never decided to un-retire and play with them again, I'll supoort them.

I hope everyone had a great spring break and has been having a great spring! One more month and then I'm done with my Associates!!! I feel I'm making a dent into my goals I have set in for me!

Spring break changes again!

Thanks to having a shitty immune system, I got sick and had to change plans once more for my California trip. Now I will be leaving tomorrow afternoon to be at disneyland on Sunday! I should be 100% by tomorrow after all these damn drugs i've been taking! I should still have a ton of photo's to share! I hope everyone else has been having a great spring break!!!!

Spring Break Changes...

My Spring break is taking a turn for the better! Tomorrow eveing, Fernie and I will be heading over to California to go to Disneyland! I am very excited about that since I have not been there in 5 years!!! We are also still planning on San Diego for Saturday and coming back Sunday, meaning no Bad Religion, plus its sold out and we haven't bought our tickets =( I am still very excited to be going because I will also see some of my friends who live there whom I haven't seen in a while! Now there will be a ton of pictures to come!!! On a sucky note, I am currentally sick! Of course it has to happen when I am trying to do big things this weekend!! =/ Oh well, I guess I'll just have to drug up tghe next 48 hours to get better! Oh Yeah and lastly: HAPPY SAINT PATRICKS DAY!!!!

Spring Break!

So I get this whole week off from school, but of course not work! ha It still gives me a break from somthing which is always a good thing! So far, I saw Avenue Q which was AMAZING! Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a huge fan of comdey with puppets! This weekend I'm planning a trip to D&B tomorrow for some gaming fun and then the weekend I'm escaping to San Diego with my partner in crime Fernie fern bomb!(in the middle of the picture) It should be really good times since we're gonna catch my next favorite band after Alkaline Trio; BAD RELIGION!!! I can't believe they have been a band for 30 years! Crazy!!!

Expect pictures from all of my fun spring break adventures! The following week when I come back I get to see Alkaline Trio with a bunch of my bestest friends who support my obession with the band! ha  Hope everyine starts the week off with a bang!

AVENUE Q!!!

Today I will be attending the show Avenue Q! I have been a fan since about 2004 and now I finally get to see it live at the gamage here in Tempe! It's Banana's!!!!

Been a while since I last post! I've been busy with school work! I did have time to make something during a rainy day here in the desert! Banana Walnut Chocolate chip muffins! I wanted to make banana bread and was also wanting chocolate, so I decided to mix both together! They turned out awesome and were a hit at home and work!

Another non-vegan tested, vegan approved desert that makes me stay an obese vegan! =p

I'm having twin food babies!

Today was a pretty good day! I've been wanting to make some BLT Sandwiches because they are one of my favorite things to eat! I found this awesome bread that is Vegan! It was a Green chile sourdough and it had a great spice to it, which I love spicy!

I also love potato salad when eating this sandwich, so I made what I call my easy potato salad! It's ingredients consist of red potato's, vegan mayo, mustard, salt, pepper, celery, and black olives! I like to leave the potato skin on because I think its delicious!

So, this weekend and week has started off great! I've had 3 bake orders from people who are not vegan and just love these cookies! I really love making non-vegans buy vegan made goods to show them that they are just as good if not better than using animal produc ts in your baked goods!

HENRY ROLLINS!!!!

Last night I was lucky enough to finally meet one of my musical infulences and he truely is an amazing guy! Henry Rollins Is someone I admire and highly reccomend anyone to catch him on his spoken words tour this year! Thanks Henry for being smart, insane and handsome ;) haha

So much reading!

So I have to read 3 more books by tomorrow in order to be caught up in my CRE101 class! Then start on 2 essays due this friday! Hopefully I get some rest between today and tomorrow! I'm so excited for Thursday because I get to see Henry Rollins! Expect pictures from that! =)

SUPER BOWL!!!!

I love sports, especially Football!!! So today you bet I watched the game and was happy that the Saints took their first win! It was a good day overall, and I had a whole large pizza (8 slices). Now I have to take a quiz for my Philosophy class that is due by 8am tomorrow, yet I go into work at 4am so better get to it now! I hope everyone had a great Sunday!

Describe a Perfect Day

A day that is not rushed or full of deadlines! One where the temperature outside is nice enough to enjoy and not hotter than hell like usually in the desert. A day where no one argues about stupid topics such as celeberity gossip. A day where everyone gives each other high fives or hugs instead of dirty looks. A day when the news can report good news instead of horrible and upsetting stories, but joyful and rewarding. A day where no animal is murdered and the world is living veggie lifestyle! Little things like these listed above would be a perfect day in my book, and of course this list could continue, I've just listed my main points of my perfect day.

Half a year!

It's been that long since I started this blog and just decided to come around to it! So, this is post numero 2! Ha Of course it would have been fun posting all of the chaotic scheduling during that time period with school and work, but I guess now is better than never to give this a try again!
